John D. Reed, Jr., M.D.
John D. Reed, Jr., M.D., has been part of FWRadiology since 1992. Born in Plymouth, Indiana, Dr. Reed grew up in North Manchester, located about 30 miles from Fort Wayne, where he graduated from Manchester High School in 1977. He earned a B.S. degree (biology) from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1981 before traveling to Baltimore, Maryland where he received his M.D. degree in 1985 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Reed served a one-year internship in medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and then completed a 4-year residency in radiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Returning to Indiana in 1990, Dr. Reed completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, followed by a one year staff position as an Assistant Professor of Radiology.
Dr. Reed is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and has 20 years of experience. His professional memberships include the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association.
Married and the father of three, Dr. Reed enjoys fitness, home brewing, fishing and music.
