PREPARING FOR AN OPEN MRI

Please arrive at OpenView MRI 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the registration process. Unless specified by your physician, there is no special diet or fasting necessary. We cannot dispense any pain medications at our facility so you will need to bring any necessary medications.

Please advise your technologist if you have any of the following:

• Aneurysm Clips or Metal Plates
• Artificial Cardiac Valves
• Metal Fragments
• Pregnancy
• Surgical History

Patients with cardiac pacemakers or implanted defibrillators cannot be examined with MRI
