Karen Hernandez R.N.


Karen Hernandez R.N., joined FWRadiology in 2001. She is a native of Fort Wayne. Karen received her nursing degree from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne. She has 24 years of nursing experience and has specialized in Interventional Radiology nursing for the last 14 years. Karen is an active member of the American Radiology Nursing Association. She received her certification in radiology nursing in 2004.


Karen's areas of specialization within the field of interventional radiology include; Vertebroplasty, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, Venous Access as well as a number of other procedures. In her role with FWRadiology Karen serves a liaison between the interventional radiologist, patients, staff members and other physicians.


Karen is married and has two teenage sons. Her hobbies include traveling and motorcycling.
